The Marina Gaviota Las Brujas is located on the small island nammed Cayo Las Brujas (Witches Island). It's for now the only marina in the resort destination "Cayos de Villa Clara" (which includes Cayo Santa Maria, Cayo Ensenachos, and Cayo Las Brujas), so every nautical excursions depart from this marina. This is also where the Dive Center is located, and the Fishing Base. Note that this is a "charter" marina, not an international marina, visiting boats are not allowed. it's a modern marina (built in 2002) with all the facilities: a 48-meter dock, catamarans, fishing boats, dive boats, dive shop, speed boats, kayaks, snack bar, etc
La Estrella (the Star), also known as Plaza La Estrella, is located on Cayo Santa Maria, between the hotels Royalton Cayo Santa Maria and Memories Paraiso Beach Resort. It was inaugurated on December 12th, 2009, and is managed by Gaviota Group S.A. La Estrella is a large shopping and entertainment center (65,660 square feet) where tourists will find many other options besides the ones offered in their all-inclusive resort, and at very reasonable cost too! It's also the perfect spot for shopping for the famous Cuban cigars, rums and local handicraft.
An impressive stone causeway linking the village of Caibarién with the northern keys.
